Single vs Double Sided Flags

Choose print construction around how the flag will be viewed. A single-face flag can show a reversed image through the back, while a specified double-face construction may use separate outward-facing graphics. Appearance depends on the material and construction approved for the actual product.

Review the reverse

For single-face fabric, confirm expected show-through and mirrored wording rather than assuming the reverse reads normally. Request a suitable sample when reverse readability matters.

Define double-face construction

The quote should state the number of printed layers, any separating layer and the finished assembly. Additional layers can change drape and compatibility, so avoid assuming the same behaviour as a single-face flag.

Approve both layouts

Check reading direction, logo placement and side-specific artwork. Two different artworks require an explicit front and reverse proof.

Match the intended use

A reception flag, table flag and portable advertising graphic may need different constructions. Select the exact product and hardware before agreeing the print method.

Your questions answered

Does double-sided mean two flags?

No. It describes the agreed construction of one finished flag. Quantity and faces should be stated separately.

Will single-sided text read normally from behind?

A typical show-through reverse is mirrored. Confirm the actual sample and construction before ordering.

Is double-sided always better?

Choose for viewing needs and compatible construction; it is not automatically the right option for every system.
